Token Utility
Universal Gas for Payments
AEON functions as the cross-chain gas for all settlements, merchant transactions, and bridge payments across BNB, TON, Solana, and EVM networks. It is used by both human users and AI agents under the x402/8004 payment standards.
Every transaction consumes AEON, creating sustained network demand tied directly to real payment volume.
Validator Staking, Governance & Network Security
Validators stake AEON to secure and validate both user-to-merchant and agent-to-agent transactions. Stakers earn network rewards and also govern key parameters such as validator incentives, transaction fees, and buyback ratios.
AEON is locked for staking, reducing circulating supply while giving holders yield and governance power, aligning incentives across the ecosystem.
Token Buybacks (Fee Recycling)
A percentage of all transaction fees collected through AEON Pay and x402 settlements is used to buy back AEON from the open market. Bought-back tokens are either distributed to stakers or burned.
Real payment activity drives continuous buyback demand, making AEON a deflationary asset tied to network growth.
CeDeFi Yield & Liquidity Incentives
AEON is supplied to liquidity vaults and merchant settlement pools to enable instant payouts, stable liquidity, and yield farming opportunities.
Yield-based demand encourages users to lock AEON, deepening liquidity and supporting merchant scalability.
Network rewards for validators and stakers are funded from the Ecosystem Fund allocation.
This is distinct from CeDeFi Yield — staking/validation rewards are payments to validators who process fiat and on-chain payment transactions, not yield from DeFi positions.
