Governance

  • Voting rights: $AEON stakers can vote on the following parameters: protocol fees, buyback ratios, validator rewards, treasury usage (grants, incentive programs, strategic partnerships), and election/confirmation of committees.

  • Three standing committee structure: Technical, Risk, and Ecosystem — each makes recommendations on upgrades and integrations.

  • Participation modes: Token holders may vote directly via a governance UI (yes / no / abstain) or delegate voting power to validators or community representatives.

  • Delegation: Smaller holders are expected to stake $AEON with a validator and delegate governance power.

  • Anti-centralisation safeguards: A weight-based scaling system calculates voting points per wallet but applies a cap on the maximum voting power a single wallet can accumulate as token holdings increase.

  • Launch timeline: Staking and governance features are targeted for launch by end of 2026.
